Unlike other roleplaying settings, Tékumel places a heavy emphasis on a character’s position within the social hierarchy, and the rights, privileges, limitations, and obligations relating thereto. We touch on how this emphasis effects adventuring on Tékumel, how players’ characters can find opportunities for advancement, and give examples of notable personages who rose to (and fell from) the highest rungs of Tèkumeláni society.
